Summary/Abstract: The present study investigates the way in which the Ştefan Aug.Doinaş succeds in finding this complementarity, in a volume of religious poetry, ŖPsalmsŗ. In this poems, the poet seeks God in every element of the phenomenal world. These poems express the equilibrium between reason and miracle in the perception of God. The word is the fundamental way of dialog between God and man, and among human beings. They can build the spiritual world and the life of man,or, or the contrary, they have thepower to destroy. For this, the Doinaşřs Psalms illustrate manřs direct reference to divinity, as man perceives God in the most surprising situations, based on his inner poetic state. For Doinaş, the poetry of the Psalms are created as a fictive dialogue, and sometimes a lyrical and confessional soliloquy. Doinaş declares himself the support of the abandoned God. Because the religious poet places himself under the authority of the Scripture and of God, his subjectivity as an artist is voluntarily limited. The religious poet is first of all a believer in the very biblical sense, so the substance of his religious creation must be consistent with the Bibleřs principles. Ştefan Aug.Doinaş feels a permanent hunger of divinity, perfection, miracle, he dreams himself with God night after night and when he suddenly wakes up, he enjoys communion with Christ
