Competences of grey entrepreneurs of micro firms in selected municipalities of Pomerania Region

Summary/Abstract: The article presents various psychological mechanisms that determine the self-perception of the older employees and determine the way they are perceived by their environment. Opinions regarding skills and work performance of the older employees that are held by the employers from various European countries are presented and confronted with results of studies on age-related changes that affecthuman cognition.In the article authors discussed the issues concerning the entrepreneurship of persons aged 55 and more. For presenting grey entrepreneurs’ operational competences, self-esteem and motivation, authors used the result of research conducted in Pomeranian Economic Observatory.
