Summary/Abstract: The article examines some consequences of the Old-Bulgarian merging of nasal vowels and searches for the reasons leading to a divergence between the expected and the actual results from this process. The following have been examined from a morphological point of view: the homonymous forms of Accus. singularis and pluralis of names of female gender -ja- bases; the conjugation forms of 1 p. sg. Present tense and Nominative, singularis male and neuter gender of the present participle of verbs from the 3rd and 4th Old-Bulgarian conjugations, as well as the homonymy between the oblique cases of the present participle of verbs of the 3rd Old-Bulgarian conjugation.
