Summary/Abstract: The developments in education from 1925-1939 are of crucial importance in the history of the Albanian education, for the strengthening of its institutions and the establishment of the educational legal framework on the example of the regional and broader models. In the teaching practice were introduced models, patterns and methods taken from different western systems designed by prominent figures of the world’s pedagogy. The Albanian education system implemented different European methodologies and practices and at the same time established institutional relations with international forums such as the International Bureau of Education in Geneva (Switzerland) in 1927 and also with other similar institutions in Italy, Austria, Germany, England, the USA, etc. The most accepted and widespread method was that of ‘active’ teaching, which in Albania was best represented by the publication of A.Xhuvani “Didactics”. This book dealt with the most recent pedagogical ideals of the time that would soon be introduced in the Albanian teaching practices and would lay the basis of the today’s educational system in the country.
