Summary/Abstract: The Albanian folk costumes and different ethnographic elements of Albanian culture heritage have been used in the Albanian paintings. This trend is certainly related to the processes of historical and cultural developments of the Albanian society in different periods. Furthermore it is worth emphasizing the regional and national figures and the artistic and ethno cultural values that these elements contain. The Albanian folk costumes have always attracted the attention of different scholars and researchers. The painters, as well, were very attentive due to their splendid ornamental elements. These elements have strongly influenced in the enhancement of the artistic values of their work. Appropriate uses of these elements have given an identity to the works and painters who created them.
