Short Description
The "Folk Culture" Magazine is published by the Institute of Folk Culture.Its publication started in 1980. Actually it is published twice a year. Studies in the field of folklore and of ethnology. Its resume is in English. The Folk Institute was set up in 1961. In 1979, it affiliated to the Ethnology Department of the Academy of Sciences and was established as the Institute of Folk Culture. Distinguished Albanian ethnologists and folklorists have greatly contributed to it. There is a good tradition in collecting ethno-folk materials that are preserved in its rich archives. From 1976 until 1992 it has had its permanent Albanian national exhibition in Tirana. It has a long-standing experience in its scientific publications. It’s the only state institution in Albania that carries out researches in the ethno-folk field within the framework of Albanological institutes of the Academy of Sciences. Director: As.
