Perception of phenomenon of corruption in public administration.

Summary/Abstract: The problem of corruption and the fight against this phenomenon has been known to mankind since time immemorial. Its origin goes back to the beginnings of civilization, from the creation of the first institutions and administrative bodies of the State. Conducted public opinion polls show that more than half of Poles believe that senior government officials benefit from the exercise of public functions. It is worth to confront results of these studies with the results of the survey on the perception of corruption by public officials in the Warmia - Mazury Voivodship.
