Summary/Abstract: This joumal is a fruit and product of the Institute of Linguistics where the whole scientific work realized, the plans and projects of now and the future, the new scientific perspectives and visions are reflected. Native scientists as well as from abroad dealing with Albanian language are gathered around it. It is the envoy of the Albanian linguistic sciences, becoming so the most valuable journal not only within Albania, but even beyond its borders, as one of the most appreciated ones in the Balkans. Researching within its pages we find solution to many problems which have been worrying for several years the illuminated minds of the most renowned scientists and intellectuals of our nation. In its 50 years old road two periods are distinguished: the first period from ’64 to ’90 and the second period beginning after ’90 up to recent days. The first period is characterized by the enlargement and empowerment of the journal, by the efforts of the linguists to solve the main problems of the Albanian linguistics. The second period beginning with the ’90s is characterized by the enlargement of the extraordinary cooperators network and by the widely based cooperation with scientific centers for Albanian studies in the region and beyond.
