Stylistic Face of the Visigothic Figurai Sculpture

Summary/Abstract: The Visigothic figurai sculpture, being part of the aesthetics of the early-medieval European art, at the same time shows its similarity to the Middle Eastern fine arts. Especially close analogies - manifested both in the stylistic level and the iconographie one - can be found in Syria, Armenia, Georgia and Palestine. This is connected with the major problem of the presence of “Syrians” in the Visigothic Spain.
