It is only the leader’s role in which the manager can be a bearer of changes and reforms. The organizational leadership of the manager is a harmonic combination of his/her managing activities of efficient administration and social leadership. The major objective of this paper is to draw the difference between the social-psychological position of the leader and the formal management position of the administrator. The major differences between the formal management and informal leadership are clarified and summarized. On that basis their similarities are established, too.
