The Development of Hardware Performance

Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the 21st century information and communication technologies became prevalent in the economy and society as a whole. The need to process increasingly large volumes of data and to create computer applications for all areas of human activity lead to the continuous development and improvement of computer hardware. The article examines the historical development of hardware performance and defines mathematical methods for measuring and assessing this development.
