Developing A Project For Building A System Supporting Qualitative Data Analysis

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a project for developing an on-line system supporting qualitative data analysis for big database. We modify the mixed method for developing software projects according to the peculiarities of our case by splitting the phase of code writing into two sub-phases each with different number of iterations. According to the accepted method the team of developers consists of three groups: analysts, to carry out analysis and high level design, programmers implementing the system on architectural and technological level, and programmers implementing the specialized functionalities for qualitative data analysis. In this work we describe in more details the implementation of the system on architectural and technological level. This work is used in teaching in Information Systems MSc degree course in our university.
