Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes normativity of a thin body for woman corporality production in the modern mass society. Tyranny of slenderness expresses positive senses of a thin body and negative senses of an obese body. The author considers the connection between the standard of corporality and gastronomic practices. A thin body expresses the ability for inner nutrition and independence from empirical reality. It is an ideal object of visual consumption.
