Summary/Abstract: Using the results of an independent sociological research on the social well-being of Kazan upperclassmen, the paper analyzes the issues of professional self-determination of the youth. It is shown that at the time when school leavers choose their life trajectory they experience a special condition, which can be characterized by higher anxiety, lack of self-confidence, and indefiniteness of opportunities of social start and self-realization.
