Summary/Abstract: This article outlines the use of Bandura’s social learning theory in relation to the development of children and young people, describing the foundations for socio-cognitive career theory and the study of relationship of self-efficacy with interest and decisions about careers. Proposals for the application of theory and research results are discussed with concerning work orientation.
