Summary/Abstract: History has shown that until now every revolution, understood as violent change of government and system, had deep influence on ownership relations changing them and adapting them to its own needs and goals. That is especially true in case of socialistic revolutions which have conducted tectonic changes in political, social and property spheres. That is what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina where the change of ownership of real estate was result of certain social and political processes. With social changes that occured in the transition period in Bosnia and Hercegovina and its society, topic of interest among large number of users is archival material of socialistic period. Archive fonds and collections of socialistic era (period) in Archive of USK is no exception. That is the reason that in Archive of USK special attention is shown to the usage of the archival material, in a way that all fonds of this provenance have priority in processing and assortment as well as creating a base for them. All of this resulted in a fact that users of archival fonds and collections held by Archive of USK are able to achieve their right to use the records up to 70,50%, a number that is similar and at the same level as one is the neighbouring countries and some archive services of the developed countries.
