Forecasting civil structure duration on the basis of progress of works

Summary/Abstract: During construction works one of the most important duties of a project manager is to control progress of construction works with relation to scheduled deadlines and budget. A method allowing following both of aforementioned indicators with relation to progress of works is the EVM. This article focuses on forecasting civil structure duration. In literature one can find various methods of how to use chosen indicators to forecast civil structure duration. The aim of this article is to list few most important of this methods and show results of each, using the example of a large enclosed structure constructed in Warsaw in last years. The article reveals one method which, in given situation, proved to be the most accurate against real time of duration of construction works.
