Summary/Abstract: The goal of this article is to define a profile of emigrants leaving Polish regions in the years 2002 and 2011, in relation to the population they originate from; through: separation of emigration streams from Polish voivodeships and afterwards analysis of selected demographic aspects through the use of selective emigration factors, and in consequence showing the differentiation of emigration as a whole, including Polish voivodeships. In the period 2002–2011 almost 2.3 million Poles emigrated. The migration wave coincided with low birth and aging of Polish society, which in long time horizon might have a big impact on changes in the demographic structure in Poland. Therefore a question about the impact of emigration on demographic situation of Polish regions is gaining importance
