Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to assess the efficiency of the emergency medical services in 16 Polish voivodeship, in 2010-2012. The data sources were the Central Statistical Office, the National Health Fund and the Ministry of Health. Potential causes of inefficiency were identified. The results confirm the usefulness of the DEA to analyze medical systems services.
