Summary/Abstract: Level and living conditions in the countries of the European Union are highly spatially variable. Since the beginning of the XXI century has seen the development of sustainable development, which aims to provide future generations a steady increase in living standards and social cohesion. Therefore the aim of the article was to compare the standard of living in the European Union by means of traditional, new and synthetic indicators, and also created a group of countries with a similar standard of living.
