Summary/Abstract: This article provides an analysis of termination of employment by employers due to health-related reasons of employees under Czech law. The article describes recent case law of the Czech Supreme Administrative Court, Constitutional Court and Supreme Court on validity and review of medical opinions and their validity in disputes relating to validity of termination of employment. The article particularly focuses on consequences of the new case law for employers and employees, and discusses possible options of further development of legislation in this area.
