Summary/Abstract: The urban rehabilitation studies have been attracting the attention of a wide circle. Particularly the historical structures taking an important place in the identity of a city as well as the elements such as the residences reflecting the cultural identity of an area are being taken within the scope of urban rehabilitation studies. The deformations and gradual impairments being observed in such areas make the rehabilitation studies a necessity in the concerning areas. That is to say, clearing the unplanned urbanization surrounding the old urban areas as well as reinforcing the infrastructure and the superstructure in order to make them become reusable have importance in order to bring back the appearance of the old city as much as possible. Surely, some changes will be available functionally in this process. Such as a former madrasa becoming a museum following the rehabilitation studies.
