Summary/Abstract: This article is intended to determine factors constraining an activity of the Occupational Therapy Workshops. The article is basing on source literature and source materials, including legislation and reports. It presents selected social economy entities with particular emphasis on a legal basis of the Occupational Therapy Workshops operation and controversies concerning their further existence. The results of performed evaluation lead to the assumption that the Occupational Therapy Workshops are performing duties and legal provisions concerning providing for the participants (disabled persons) social and occupational rehabilitation which has to contribute their more active inclusion into a social life and to improve a quality of their everyday life. On the other hand, effects like taking up a professional work by the participants of the Occupational Therapy Workshops are infinitesimal.
