Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present Poland’s Investment Development Path in the light of J.H. Dunning’s IDP model. The main indicator that has been analyzed is a synthetic index NOI (Net Outward Investment) that is the difference between the cumulative value of the outward and inward foreign direct investment in the economy. The study was based on NBP data for the years 1995-2012. The results show that while Poland is still a net importer of FDI, the dynamics of FDI outflows has exceeded the growth rate of FDI inflows into Poland’s economy since 2007. Therefore, it can be noted that the Polish economy is on the threshold of the third phase of its investment development path. It is an expected process, not only because of the increasing scale of economic integration with international markets, but also for the growth and development of the economy itself.
