Global ageing Implications for societies and economies

Summary/Abstract: In this paper phenomena related to ageing and ageing of societies is presented. It is worth to note that ageing is becoming a hot topic on the agenda of various national and international bodies. Thus before it is taken further the theoretical aspects of global ageing based on the available sociological theory are scrutinised. Furthermore, the analysed phenomena are shown in a historical and future perspective. Finally the paper closes with conclusions set as the implications of global ageing to societies and economies.
