State aid in the form of gua- rantees – qualitative and quantitative analysis from the perspective of fiscal policy

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses guidelines for implementation of art. 107–109 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, from the point of view of State aid in the form of guarantees. Statistical analysis was carried out on State aid granted by EU Member States – from the perspective of its impact on economic growth and the debt of these countries. This should lead to verify the thesis that the amount of State aid granted by EU Member States in the form of guarantees, should be positively correlated with the size of the economic growth of these countries, while negatively correlated with the size of public debt.
