Construction contractors on the public procurement market vs. their economic and financial standing

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the influence of public contracts on the economic and financial standing of construction companies. For the purpose of this paper the biggest construction companies have been chosen. The analysis of the participation of enterprises on the Polish market of public procurement for construction works in the years 2012-2014 is conducted. Owing to the analysis it can be presumed that there is a relation between the extent of public procurement by construction companies and their economic and financial indicators.
