Summary/Abstract: The article aims to present the character and scientific work of Allamek, one of the most significant authors of the late 16th and early 17th century, whose work is predominantly related to the hermeneutics of the Sacred Text (Quran). Identifying and analyzing the form glossa, as the dominant model of Allamek`s way of writing, the article offers his interpretation of the term iman, an analysis of the phenomenon of revelation of the Qur'an, as well as the interpretation of the "mysterious" beginnings of individual chapters. The author reveals that it is a mufassir with undoubted knowledge of the rich hermeneutic tradition within Islam, and with the original approaches that often require a critical approach.
