COMPETENCES OF GENERATION Y – SELECTED ASPECTS

Summary/Abstract: Both society and economy undergoing the changes that require a fresh look at widely understood competences, particularly those demonstrated by the Millennial Generation, also called Generation Y, that will be essential human resources in the labour market in the nearest future. Therefore, the aim of this article is to familiarize the readers with selected competences demonstrated by Generation Y. The structure of this article serves meeting its main objective. The first part describes Generation Y comparing with Generations X and BB. The second part describes the issues related with the education of Generation Y and referred to their competences. This article is based on the available references and secondary data.
