Summary/Abstract: The article examined issues related to the sustainability of the political process. Emphasis is placed on specific features in its implementation in connection with power-exercising, decision-making and behaviour of the governors. Furthermore, political power and the connections and dependencies in policy-making are characterized. Issues of control and self-control over political power are discussed. In connection with the dynamics of social processes and the democratization of the relations between people, groups and institutions, the role of the crowd as a corrective or source of management policy is considered. The specifics of political decisions and the options of manifestation during the implementation of the political process are considered. Political behaviour is presented as a function of political power and political decisions. Essential is the forms and motives for manifestation of various types of political behaviour. The emphasis in the article is on deviations in the pursuit of political power and the development and policy-making. They actually affect on the sustainability of the political process
