Summary/Abstract: The author is trying, all along the present paper, to briefly analyse the content of old Romanian book, more precisely Transylvanian book, within the Patrimonial Property Concentration Storehouse attached to the Romanian Orthodox Rank of Orăştie, the way it appears mentioned in the pages of the catalogue – register drawn up on the occasion of the setting up of the respective deposit. After making a short description of the Rank, as well as of the context in which all patrimonial property existent in the various parish churches of Hunedoara start being gathered, there is made a technical description of the Catalogue, regarding the number of pages, headings, content etc. Special emphasis is laid on the production of old books of the Transylvanian printing houses, such as those of Bălgrad, Sibiu or Blaj, on the circulation, number and territorial distribution of diffferent titles, the way that they may be identified according to the parish churches that they have come from. There is also emphasised the fact that most printouts available on the territory of the county of Hunedoara originate from the centre of Blaj, calling attention, once again, if it was still necessary, to the importance of such a collection of old books especially from the viewpoint of the numerous scientific research opportunities that it offers.
