Evaluation of investment ratio water supply and sewerage infrastructure in the context of sustainable development

Summary/Abstract: Water and sanitation infrastructure is vital for the economic development of every region. It also affects the improvement of living conditions of residents and improves the state of the environment. As a result, the condition and equipment in the water supply and sanitation infrastructure of numerous communes in the country is insufficient. The paper analyses the investments in the water and sanitation infrastructure in the communes of Olsztyn district. Sustainable development is a strategic concept implemented at national, regional and local levels, properly planned and executed. The implementation of the concept of sustainable development requires from decision-makers to determine indicators for assessing the effects of the measures taken.
