Summary/Abstract: Roman Kuzniar’s interesting, passionate comments well reflect the confusion that has arisen in the discussion concerning Poland’s security. Among the numerous subjects that he mentions, I wish to concentrate on the issue of Polish-US relations and on some of the related, specific problems (NATO, Missile Defence). First and foremost, I wish to consider whether we are really dealing with attempts to transform Poland into a satellite state in the area of security, as maintains Kuzniar who also writes about Polish elites’ “unthinking and unquestioning readiness” to back “the current Washington.”
