Summary/Abstract: This is an essay about the relevance of Jean-Jacques Wunenburger’s philosophical perspective. My general view is that his texts construct an open and complex philosophy, a tolerant one, a philosophy that finely combines docta ignorantia and true humility. This philosophy develops through the labor of Wunenburger as a research fellow, as a thinker and as a theoretical man. From a theoretical perspective we have gone through the main harvest of works such as La raison contradictoire, L’imagination, La vie des images, La philosophie des images, Une utopie de la raison, L’imaginaire, “Le combat est le père de toutes choses”, Heraclite. The conclusion seeks to underline several features of Wunenburger as a man of action.
