Summary/Abstract: Older or more recent archaeological researches prove that Brad Depression was a favourable natural environment for the communities of prehistoric shepherds from the end of Eneolithic to the beginning of Bronze Age. The results of the archaeological excavations and field surveys consisted in identification and documentation of some Late Eneolithic and Early Bronze settlements, meaning Coţofeni culture and Şoimuş cultural group. This last one is a cultural manifestation of the second Early Bronze phase. Also, due to field researches, near by these dwelling places, some tumular necropolises and isolated tumuli were discovered, funerary monuments in association with already known settlements.
