Summary/Abstract: The first part of the article follows the attempts of the Macedonian liberation movement to organize Macedonians in North America. Efforts to consolidate overseas emigration gave a result on October 1, 1922, when at a Congress in Fort Wayne, a Union of Macedonian political organizations was established in the US and Canada.
