Emanuil Popdimitrov – founder of the Scientific Institute “Western Outlands”

Summary/Abstract: On June 18, 1932, a constituent meeting was held of the Scientific Institute “Western Outlands”. Among the 19 founders, the renowned Bulgarian poet, literary critic, writer and public figure Emanuil Popdimitrov is of particular merit, which several years ago traced out the way for its construction. The founders of the Institute voted unanimously its patriotic statutory purposes, which included – study of history, ethnography, economic life and political situation in the Western Outlands;On June 18, 1932, a constituent meeting was held of the Scientific Institute “Western Outlands”.
