Summary/Abstract: The article undertakes the issue of energy efficiency in the context of the EU climate and energy package and the Polish circumstances. The study contains an explanation of concepts, statistics and information about the costs and benefits of increasing energy efficiency, taking into account the necessary action in this regard, both at European as domestic level.
