Communication and Communion. The Didactic and Sacramental Function of the Sermon

Summary/Abstract: Interpersonal communication supposes a dialogue system of information and symbols transmitted and intercepted on a verbal and nonverbal basis. Communion implies a rise towards a spiritual comprehension according to which communication with our fellow creatures is achieved by joint participation in the communion life of the Holy Trinity. We can regain spiritual authority by referring to God and holy precepts and then return in the world and preach the holy word.
