Determinants of the effectiveness of educational activity in working with the disabled

Summary/Abstract: The place of a disabled person and worse functioning in the society are the elements discussed at various levels. This issue has been worked on for many years and it can be proved by the appearance of many legal provisions and declarations adopted by the state and social organizations. However, only their practical imple-mentation could create the possibility of their verification and creating the change. In education, which changes the approach to future-oriented, helping the next gener-ations, it is particularly necessary to analyse the direction of the upcoming changes. Therefore this paper presents the analysis of selected studies and legal changes that have been introduced over the last decade. The author attempts to compare and con-nect the changes occurring in Europe, and particularly in Poland.
