Summary/Abstract: The article describes the sales forecasting system in the company, which is used to determine the weekly forecasts for about twelve thousand products. The structure of the system as well as forecasting methods were presented. Also an ex-post forecast error, which can also be used in case of zero-inflated time series was proposed. The way of monitoring the accuracy of predictions based on the distribution of the proposed ex-post error also discussed.
