Summary/Abstract: The use of a statistical method in methodology of political-legal doctrines, for obvious reasons, is simply auxiliary. The aim of this article is the presentation and analysis of survey research carried out among students of University of Rzeszów in their first year at law faculty. The studies and their results justify the following statements: 1) The history of political-legal doctrines should be a subject of study at law university and it has a positive impact on the education of future layers; 2) The education of political-legal doctrines should be executed both as lectures and practice classes; 3) The classes of political-legal doctrines should be carried out in form of oxford debate; 4) The educational scope of the history of political-legal doctrines should, mainly, cover the aspects of law, state and government; 5) During the classes on the history of political-legal doctrines the study of source texts is required; 6) During the process of education of the history of politicallegal doctrines, it is advised to try to use computer and information technology. The results of the survey, carried out for the needs of this article, allow us to state the thesis about the requirement of the use of statistical method in studies carried out by the people dealing with historical-legal disciplines. The conclusions emerging from the use of this method can turn out to be helpful in finding the answer to the bothering questions both in the scope of education as well as the subject methodology. Moreover, the use of statistical methodology can create a specific new methodological opening, which will not only give us possibility to improve the range of scientific studies and the method of the realization of subject education, but, as well, it may simplify the position of the history of political and legal doctrines within the frames set by the new standards that present law university education has to face.
