Summary/Abstract: Metalinguistic culture implications regarding the learning endeavour of a foreign language. We are proposing several observations regarding the grammar acquisition processes within the didactics of foreign languages. The theoretical framework of our approach originates in some of the principles of the psychomechanics of language, formulated by Gustave Guillaume. According to these we are trying to approach the processes associated to the learning endeavours of a foreign language. That reference might surprise to the extent that language psychomechanics was less interested in these aspects and showed little interest in the didactics of foreign languages other than from the perspective of the functioning of linguistic mechanisms.
