ON THE INFLUENCE OF THE C6H4C12 IN THE CORROSION OF THE PALCORE

Summary/Abstract: It is ascertained that the palcore prepared with the league ag-Cu which are preserved in the ethnographic fund of the IFC have shown the signs of an advanced corrosion even the normal restoration when they are extracted from the hermetic package. The phenomenon was studied following two factors which could influence on the corrosion: the presence of a relative high humidity and the paradichlorbenzol which was used as insecticide. After this ascertsinment were tested the ways of avoiding this influence and of the consequences of the use of the chemicals. At the end are given recommendations for the manner of preservation of this category of objects. Palcore – small container of the marrow of the animals’ bones which was used as lubricant and as the best protector of the fire arms.
