Summary/Abstract: Teacher of the twenty-first century is not only a person transferring knowledge to students, but teaching them how to learn and how to live in the contemporary world, and what values to be guided in life because volatility is paradoxically the most constant element of the environment. Modern civilization puts teachers ever-increasing demands, and their social role and job function puts ever greater hopes. The aim of the article is to present preliminary observations and the results of research conducted Questionnaire Readiness for Changes among 108 primary school teachers and an indication of the characteristics of a teacher twenty-first century.
