Financial determinants of innovativeness of Polish industrial enterprises

Summary/Abstract: It is beyond any doubt that innovation is of great significance to the contemporary economy. Innovations contribute not only to higher competitiveness of firms but also serve as the basis for the socio-economic development. Taking into account the statistical data as well as the results of empirical research on innovativeness of the Polish economy and its enterprises, the question arises as to why so many enterprises do not implement innovations or implement them in the limited range. The paper presents the role of financial factors as the main aspects of innovativeness increase. The paper also shows the empirical research carried out on the sample of 100 entities in 2014. As a part of the research, final aspect of innovativeness is indentified and evaluated.
