Summary/Abstract: This paper draws attention to the discovery of a settlement from the Roman Age, unknown in the archaeological literature, located in the western territory of the Roman city of Potaissa. The settlement was identified through field survey South of the village Borzeşti (com. Iara, jud. Cluj), in the place called Cârligate. Pottery shards have been discovered, alongside fragments of Roman bricks and iron slag. A Roman coin was previously reported in the area of the village, which can now be linked to this settlement. Due to the presence of numerous pieces of slag, we can assume the existence of an iron exploitation in this area.
