Summary/Abstract: The icons possessed by a clerical entity are sacred goods because they are destined to the cult. Also they form another category, that of the mobile patrimony. The icons of the Mintia Romanian Orthodox Parish, together with its subsidiary of Bejan of the Hunedoara county, are representations of our Saviour Jesus Christ, of the Holy Mother Mary, of the holy hierarch Nicolae and of Archangel Michael. These were given in 1984 to the Orthodox Deanery of Orăştie which in present holds them in custody. Having different sizes these icons were painted on wood and glass by their known or unknown authors. The oldest were made at the end of the 18th century, but by the beginning of the 20th century they suffered deteriorations upon the activity of inexperienced and unspecialised restorers.
