Summary/Abstract: The goal of this article is an analysis of the development of the social cooperatives entities in Poland. In order to realize it, the essence of social cooperatives and their development has been presented. The methods used in the research were: review of literature, legal acts and data contained in the catalogs of social cooperatives in Poland. The analysis has resulted in concluding, that social cooperatives are a good tool of solving socio-economic problems.
