Summary/Abstract: Candid Mușlea is an important representative of the Transylvanian elite from the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century. The study is based on archival documents and reconstructs the road that Candid Mușlea traveled from the traditional class of peasants from Rodbav (Făgăraș) until to teacher status in Brașov and assistant of Andrei Șaguna – Metropolitan of Transylvania.
